Well... I am currently looking for a job as webdesigner/webdeveloper/SEO in Amsterdam starting from FEB 2012 so I thought it would be a nice idea having a page dedicated to this topic, a funny and singular way to look for a job in the Netherlands. As you may have read in the homepage I am a dedicated professional, having been in the industry for more than 10 years now. As a webdesigner in my work I always try to give priority to two main factors: the usability of the website and its ability to rank in the SERP, meaning that, for example, I rarely tolerate the omission of an 'alt' tag when coding.
During the past two years I got involved with SEO and online Marketing as well attending SEO meetings and owning my projects which rank very good in Google.
When it comes to design, Photoshop is my weapon of choice; since I switched to MAC its code-companion has been Coda, a very powerful text-editor.
Some of my skills include: website design, website hand coding, newsletter design, forum setup, Wordpress and Drupal custom design and coding, PHP, CSS, jQuery, HTML5, Facebook and Google maps page design and optimization, cPanel administration.
Software used daily: Photoshop, Panic Coda, Navicat, SEO Power Suite
Among this main software I use a lot of programs mainly to edit and make music (Garage Band, Guitar Rig) or designing brochures (Pages).
In the end with this page I am curious to test a couple of things:
- Will it rank in the SERP results for: 'Amsterdam web designer'?
- Do web agencies use Google when looking for designers or developers?
